Ontologies

SALT is a layered framework, comprising three ontologies, as shown in the figure below. The interpretation of this layering suggests that the rhetorical is seen as an annotation for the publication's content. In addition, this annotation is flexible enough to include domain knowledge, specific to particular application domains, or linguistic features that would enable automatic acquisition of the knowledge.
